The Homestead Lithium package delivers the same full-home, split-phase capability as the lead-acid version, replacing 24 large 2V flooded cells with a clean wall-mounted rack of Pytes V-BOX-OC LiFePO₄ outdoor-rated cabinets. These UL9540-certified modules satisfy Canadian Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for residential battery energy storage systems. Six modules deliver approximately 23 kWh of usable storage in a fraction of the footprint of the flooded bank — eliminating the need for a dedicated ventilated battery room, quarterly watering visits, equalization charging, and acid containment equipment. The dual Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000 inverters stacked in split-phase, two SmartSolar MPPT 250/85 controllers, and Cerbo GX with GX Touch 50 are identical to the lead-acid version — only the battery and its charge profile change. The Victron ecosystem natively supports LiFePO₄ battery profiles, configurable in minutes via the VictronConnect app. This version is ideal for homesteaders who want full energy independence without the ongoing maintenance burden of a flooded lead-acid bank. Important: the Pytes cabinets have an IP55 outdoor rating but still require protection from temperatures below −10°C in Canadian winters — an insulated utility room or thermostat-controlled heat tape is recommended.
