Off Grid - Micro — Shed / Tiny Home -Lithium Upgrade

A complete 48V off-grid system for seasonal cabins. Five LONGi all-black bifacial panels, eight Rolls S6-L16-HC Nova Scotia-made flooded batteries, and a full Victron ecosystem — MultiPlus-II inverter/charger, SmartSolar MPPT, and Cerbo GX monitoring.

The Cabin Lead-Acid package is a serious 48V off-grid system designed to power a seasonal cabin comfortably through the warmer months. Five LONGi LR7-54HGBB-455M all-black 455W N-type TopCon bifacial panels feed a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/100 VE.Can charge controller, which charges a bank of eight Rolls S6-L16-HC 6V 550Ah flooded batteries wired in series to form a 48V bank with approximately 13 kWh of usable storage. The Rolls Surrette batteries are manufactured in Nova Scotia — a strong Canadian-made product with a 3-year warranty and proven track record in off-grid applications. The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/3000 inverter-charger handles both power inversion and generator-assisted battery charging through a single unit, while the Cerbo GX provides a central monitoring hub with remote access via the Victron VRM portal from anywhere with an internet connection. This system comfortably powers a bar fridge, LED lighting throughout the cabin, device charging, and a 12V well pump simultaneously. The Victron VE.Bus ecosystem means all components communicate seamlessly and can be configured or monitored remotely. A backup generator connection is built into the MultiPlus-II for extended cloudy periods.
